Call for Abstracts – Submit your Abstract here

The Call for Abstracts opens on June 1st, 2026 and closes on October 16th, 2026 at midnight.

Submit your abstract via this webpage (scroll to the bottom of the page) and grab one of the 100+ technology pitches that will shape our 2026 program.

How to apply for a pitch slot?

Pitch applications can be done online via the form at the bottom of this page. Upon application, be prepared to share the following information:

  • Which session would you like to apply for? The pitch sessions for which you can register are:
  • Title of your pitch (will appear on the program/website)
  • Speaker: name + affiliation (will appear on the program). We recommend C-level representation for pitches in the “Looking for finance” sessions. 
  • Keywords summarizing the content of your pitch (will appear on the program/website):
    • feedstock keywords – max 2* (which feedstock is your technology using?)
    • end-product keyword – max 2* (which end-product is your technology producing?)
    • keyword related to your technology – max 2*
  • Technology Readiness Level (TRL) of your technology
  • Paragraph of max. 1500 characters (including spaces) summarizing your technology (will appear on the program/website)

* In case more keywords are entered in the online form, the organiser will select the 2 keywords that will appear on the program.

Confirmation of your pitch slot

Important: To secure your pitch slot, selected pitchers need to register & pay within a week after receiving pitch confirmation. If no registration has been received within a week, the pitch application will be rejected.  

Provided your pitch meets the criteria, we grant pitches on a first come, first served basis.

The final time slot for your pitch will be appear online on the conference website latest by November 13th, 2026 right before the opening of the Online Matchmaking Tool on November 16th, 2026. We cannot take personal travel schedules into account when granting the pitch slots, therefor, pitchers should be available to pitch on December 1st, 2026 at any moment between 9.00 am and 5 pm.

Registration for pitchers

Hurrah, you are selected for a pitch and therefore entitled to a reduced registration fee (see registration). Use the unique registration code you received to register, you can find the registration code in the email confirming a pitch slot was granted to you.

Coaching

Selected companies in the Start-ups/SMEs looking for finance sessions will benefit from online coaching to prepare the perfect pitch. We strongly recommend all pitching companies to attend this online session. You can register by ticking the relevant box on the registration form.

Remarks

  • All pitches will last a maximum 7 minutes, we will NOT deviate from this strict timing!
  • The exact time slot and pitch room will be communicated by November 13th, 2026. Pitchers should be available to pitch on December 1st, 2026 at any moment between 9.00 am and 5 pm
  • When the number of pitches exceeds the number of available pitch slots, a waiting list will be established with the aim to replace confirmed pitches that are cancelled.
  • Pitchers can use a PowerPoint presentation in 16:9 format of max. 7 slides (including title slide and acknowledgement slide or slide with contact details). These presentations should be sent at the latest by November 13th, 2026 to Anneleen.De.Vriendt@bbeu.org.
  • Pitchers pay a reduced registration fee.
